This event is essentially a reoccurrence of the previously approved Parkside Artisan Market from 2017 and 2018. For this year, the PCA has partnered with the businesses located on the Parkside Avenue business strip, as well as the Buffalo Zoo, to promote the area and bring customers to our businesses by hosting this event. The name of the event is the Parkside Harvest Moon Festival, and it will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 10am - 4pm.
The event will be primarily an artisan market with approximately 20 local vendors set up in front of businesses and the Buffalo Zoo entrance

Why are insects important? What role do they play on a healthy planet? How can we ensure a future rich in insect life? Insectaggeddon-Buffalo will highlight the role insects play in our lives. Sadly, insects are in decline worldwide. This event is part of the High Line's nationwide Insectageddon festival, an artwork envisioned by Cecilia Vicuña that will feature events hosted by site partners around the world celebrating insects and raising awareness about their critical role in our many ecosystems.
Presenting organizations for Insectageddon-Buffalo include the Buffalo Museum of Science, Eastern Monarch Butterfly, Just Buffalo Literary Center, the Old First Ward Community Center, The Riverline, and the Western New York Land Conservancy.
