Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron W. Brown today announced the launch of a new map designed to help residents locate their nearest COVID-19 testing site. The map, which can be found at covid19.buffalony.gov, contains a complete list of all COVID-19 testing sites citywide as well as addresses, contact information to set up an appointment, hours of operation and whether the site requires a prescription by a doctor for testing.
Mayor Brown stated, “Testing continues to be one of the most critical resources in our fight against COVID-19. It is also a metric used by New York State to determine when we can begin to reopen. I encourage residents to use this resource and get tested if they feel they have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms. We must continue to take care of ourselves and each other during this crisis. It is why we are known as the City of Good Neighbors.”
Mayor Brown encouraged residents to visit covid19.buffalony.gov for COVID-19 related news, policies and resources in the City of Buffalo. It also includes information for small businesses, where to find free food distribution and meal sites, how to access support for older residents, help for those seeking employment, health and mental health guidance, ways people can help others through volunteering and donating.
Any additional locations to provide this vital service can be added to the map by visiting www.buffalony.gov/SubmitTestSite.
