Buffalo – Mayor Byron W. Brown and Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron C. Lockwood – in partnership with Starbucks Coffee Company - invited residents today to attend a ‘Holiday Coffee with a Cop’ day in the City of Buffalo, scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2019. It will take place from 11 am – 1 pm. Coffee with a Cop is a national law enforcement program that brings police officers and the community members they serve together—over coffee—to discuss community topics, learn more about each other and build relationships in an informal, positive environment.

“Coffee with a Cop day is a wonderful opportunity for City residents and business owners to engage with police as we continue to work together to build an even stronger, more inclusive and equitable Buffalo for all,” stated Mayor Brown.

‘Coffee with a Cop’ provides city residents the opportunity to sit down with officers, ask questions and share what’s on their mind. Community members and police officers get to know each other and discover mutual goals for their community.

“Our goal is to further enhance police-community relations throughout the City, and Coffee with a Cop is a proactive program to engage the community in a positive way in Buffalo,” said Commissioner Lockwood.

‘Coffee with a Cop’ day is hosted by The Office of the Mayor, Buffalo Police Department and the Starbucks Coffee Company. It’s scheduled to take place in the City of Buffalo on December 10th at the Starbucks, located at the corner of Delaware and Chippewa.
