[ARCHIVED] Mayor Brown Brings the Mobile Mammography Coach to Buffalo City Hall

WH-MammoCoach

Buffalo – Mayor Byron Brown today announced that, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities in Buffalo, the ECMC Foundation’s Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach will be at Buffalo City Hall on Friday, October 25, 2019. Mammograms will be done by appointment only.

“Breast cancer touches the lives of many people in our community and I’m pleased to help spread the word that early detection can save lives,” said Mayor Brown. “Today, I encourage women 40 or older to  get a yearly mammogram. By bringing the equipment to downtown Buffalo, we hope to service women who cannot afford the time away from work for appropriate screenings. I thank the Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach, its staff and supporters for providing this vital service in our community.”

The Mobile Mammography Coach will be at Buffalo City Hall from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on October 25th. Mammograms will be done by appointment only. To reserve an appointment time, call 632-7465 “Option 3”. The coach provides mammogram screenings for women 40 or older who have never had a mammogram and/or women 40 or older who are due for their mammograms. If women don’t have a prescription for a mammogram, a nurse will be stationed at City Hall in a private room to deliver a high-quality screening, prior to the mammogram.

The Breast Health Mobile Mammography Coach is sponsored by Dr. Vivian Lindfield, The Buffalo Bills Organization, ECMC Foundation, and Dunn Tire.
