positive developments that are occurring between the Buffalo Police Officers and Buffalo PAL youth, and I look forward to honoring the 6 Community Change Makers in Law Enforcement with the Buffalo Police Department. I am so proud of their commitment to working with children and teens who participate in the Buffalo PAL sports and youth enrichment programming all year round.”
The Buffalo PAL currently serves thousands of youth annually with after-school, weekend, and summer programs at six inner city-wide Community Centers, the Buffalo Public Schools, and the historic Buffalo- Olmsted Parks. The Buffalo PAL is a unique not-for-profit agency due to its partnership with the Buffalo Police Department. The Buffalo Police are especially instrumental in mentoring PAL youth to teach them about the importance of exhibiting pride, attitude, and leadership. PAL’s overall mission is to incentivize our region’s youth to become successful, responsible, goal-oriented adults. The Buffalo PAL continues to offer literacy programming, Educational summer camp in partnership with SAY YES and the Buffalo Public Schools, and cultural field trips. PAL youth also enjoy participating in boxing, basketball, swimming, tennis, golf, baseball, lacrosse, floor Hockey, and flag football.
