Another season of free dance fitness classes begins Saturday, June 5th at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park at 10 a.m. The Summer City Fitness series, which runs through August 7th, is made possible through a partnership between the City of Buffalo and Highmark BlueCross Blue Shield of Western New York.
The free fitness series features a mix of low- and high-impact dance fitness classes presented by Lancia “Lala” Woods. The one-hour classes will take place near the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue.
Allison DeHonney, of Urban Fruits & Veggies, will also be at the park each Saturday offering fresh fruit to participants. The classes are open to individuals of all ages, regardless of fitness level and experience.
All classes are weather-dependent.
