Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown is one of 35 mayors representing large and mid-sized cities from 20 states who are participating in the prestigious Yale Mayors College & CEO Summit, which is taking place June 4th-5th, 2019 in New York City.
The annual event, which is organized by the Yale School of Management, , brings together mayors, leading urban scholars, national and global CEOs and policy figures for highly-interactive sessions to discuss current issues facing our nation’s cities.
The 2019 theme is “Trumpeting the Issues without Becoming the Issue.” Sessions include: Community & Economic Development, Crisis Management: Lessons from the Front Lines, Mapping New Communication & Energy Pathways and Mapping New Transportation Pathways.
“Gatherings like the Yale Mayors College & CEO Summit offer a valuable opportunity to interact with fellow mayors and share our experiences and solutions to common issues. This is an intensive, peer-driven experience that gives all of us fresh points of view and new ideas to take back to our hometowns. The insights we gain are turned into benefits for our Cities and our residents,” Mayor Brown said.
In addition to group lectures, small-group sessions for best-practice sharing and one-on-one discussions, the invited mayors are also taking part in roundtable sessions with prominent CEOs and national thought leaders on urban policy.
