Brighter Skies And Warmer Temps Return and So, Too, Does Food Truck Thursdays in Niagara Square!

Food Truck Thursday Spring

Buffalo – Mayor Byron W. Brown is pleased to announce the 5th season of Food Truck Thursdays in Niagara Square. This year, 29 participating food trucks will take part in the program.

“Food Truck Thursdays started out with 8 vendors in 2015 and today nearly 30 of Buffalo’s favorite Food Trucks make a stop in Niagara Square during the summer months,” said Mayor Brown. “I thank the members of the Buffa- lo Common Council for supporting this initiative which provides the downtown workforce and residents with alter- native, fun and festive food options.”

Mayor Brown and the Buffalo Common Council launched Food Truck Thursdays in 2015 with 8 participating ven- dors as part of a 3-month pilot program. Last year, 27 vendors with a valid license from the City of Buffalo’s Divi- sion of License participated. Due to the continued success of the program, 29 participating vendors signed on for the 2019 season, and have been assigned a number of Thursdays this year on a rotating basis. Food Truck Thursdays will run each Thursday, from now through September. Funds from the Food Truck Thursday program fee go toward the beautification of Niagara Square.
