Coffee w cop 2019

Buffalo – Mayor Byron W. Brown and Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron C. Lockwood today reminded residents to attend ‘Coffee with a Cop’ day in the City of Buffalo, scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2019. Coffee with a Cop is a national law enforcement program that brings police officers and the community members they serve together—over coffee—to discuss community topics, learn more about each other and build relationships in an informal, positive environment.

“Coffee with a Cop day is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in a career in law enforcement to talk to a police officer about the job and walk away with an application for the upcoming Buffalo Police Officer exam,” said Mayor Brown. “We’re asking residents to ‘Answer the Call’ to serve and protect the residents, businesses and visitors of the City of Buffalo. Stopping by any one of the six scheduled ‘Coffee with a Cop’ day locations will enable residents to engage with police as we work together to build an even stronger Buffalo for all.”

‘Coffee with a Cop’ day, hosted by the police chief in each of the five Buffalo police districts as well as The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority, are scheduled to take place in the City of Buffalo on March 23, 2019 at the following locations:

10:00 am - 11:00 am Tim Horton’s, 1989 Seneca Street

10:00 am - 11:00 am Tim Horton’s, Delaware & Allen

10:00 am - 11:00 am Tim Horton’s, Bailey at William

10:00 am - 11:00 am Tim Horton’s, Niagara at Ontario

10:00 am - 11:00 am Tim Horton’s, Kensington at Eggert

10:00 am - 11:00 am Martha Mitchell Community Center , 175 Oakmont Avenue

‘Coffee with a Cop’ provides city residents the opportunity to sit down with officers, ask questions and share what’s on their mind. Community members and police officers get to know each other and discover mutual goals for their community.
