Today, in accordance with Section 18-19 of the Charter of the City of Buffalo, Mayor Byron W. Brown, Common Council President Darius Pridgen, and Acting Comptroller Vanessa Glushefski, announced appointments to the Citizens Salary Review Commission (CSRC), which were received and filed by the Common Council.
The following individuals have been appointed to the Commission:
- Maurice Brown, Political Director, SEIU Local 1199
- Brian Gould, Vice President, E3 Communications
- JoAnn Hernandez, Director of Operations, Father Bell Community Center
- Martha Lamparelli, Special Education Coordinator, Buffalo Public Schools
- Brian Manley, President and CEO, Imagine Staffing Technology
- Dr. Constance Moss, Former Associate Superintendent for Shared Accountability and CIO, Buffalo Public Schools
- Sharon Randacchio, President and CEO, Performance Management Partners
- Art Robinson, President, Seneca-Babcock Block Club
- Stephanie Saunders, Principal Law Clerk, New York State Supreme Court
The charge of the CSRC is to review and recommend salaries for all elected city officers, and to submit said recommendations to the Buffalo Common Council for their adoption or rejection.
The nine appointed members of the Commission are jointly appointed by the Board of Review consisting of Mayor Brown, Council President Pridgen, and Acting Comptroller Glushefski. Each member shall fill a term of three years retroactive to the date of the term’s beginning. Additionally, the City’s Commissioner of Human Resources will serve as the body’s non-voting, ex-officio member.
