Buffalo, NY - Year-round and seasonal vendors at the historic Broadway Market are gearing up for a festive and fun Easter season that visitors of all ages have long enjoyed. Today, Mayor Byron W. Brown announced the start of the 2023 Easter Season at The Broadway Market, which begins officially on Saturday, March 25th, Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Mayor Brown stated, “Visiting Buffalo’s historic Broadway Market at Easter time is a tradition for many families in Buffalo and Western New York. Family-owned businesses, passed from generation to generation, have created some of our City’s best-loved foods and memories for generations. We are looking forward to another great Easter Season at the Broadway Market and the continued transformation of the facility into a state-of-the-art regional destination.”
In a continued effort to lift up Buffalo’s most underserved neighborhoods, Mayor Brown and the City of Buffalo continue to work with Empire State Development (ESD), the Broadway Market Management Board and charitable organizations to advance plans to transform the market into a state-of-the-art, sustainable, and regional destination. After the recent completion of the City’s $1.2 million exterior market renovation, $40 million in ESD funds has been allocated for the continuing revitalization of the facility, as part of a $180 million state-funded investment in other East Buffalo projects including the Central Terminal, Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor, and MLK Park.
The Easter Bunny will be at the Broadway Market, from Saturday, March 25 through Saturday, April 8th. Easter Sunday is April 9th. Check the Market’s website for a list of entertainment, at broadwaymarket.org. See the list below for Broadway Market Holiday hours.
