Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown and Police Athletic League of Buffalo (PAL) Executive Director, Nekia Kemp, today announced the launch of the 2022 Camp Champs fundraising campaign.

Residents and business are being asked to consider making a donation to the campaign which supports PAL’s educational and athletic camps, which provides 6-weeks of summer programming for thousands of City of Buffalo youngsters and teens, in grades K-12. This summer’s camps run from July 11 through August 19.

“PAL Educational Summer Camp plays a critical role in reducing summer learning loss in City of Buffalo youth. Camp programs also keep kids and teens engaged in healthy athletic and wellness activities that take place at safe recreation facilities and parks city-wide. Campers have a great time, while they receive ongoing support from nurturing teachers, coaches, and mentors, in partnership with law enforcement,” Mayor Brown said.

“Our goal is to raise $30,000 by June 30, so we can provide more than 5,000 youth with meaningful and enjoyable summer camp experiences. Donations are critical to the success of this critical summer programming,” Kemp said.
