Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron W. Brown today issued a reminder that Buffalo’s Food Truck Thursdays event series will contin- ue on Thursday, May 12th, with 7 food trucks at Niagara Square, from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
“I want to thank the many City workers and people who made last week’s festive kickoff to the 2022 Food Truck Thurs- days season a great success,” stated Mayor Brown. “With summer-like temperatures in the air, we anticipate an even bigger crowd at this week’s event. Our hope is that residents and visitors alike will come to Niagara Square, enjoy local food, and support Buffalo’s awesome and diverse food trucks.”
Mayor Brown, in partnership with the Buffalo Common Council, launched the Food Truck Thursdays initiative in 2015 as a pilot program in an effort to provide office workers and visitors to Downtown Buffalo with additional food options. Initial- ly, there were only 8 participating vendors during a 3-month trial. This year, 20 trucks are taking part on a rotating basis, every Thursday from May through October, creating another lively and diverse food scene in Buffalo.
