Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown and the Friends of the Buffalo Animal Shelter announced today that those animals, up for adoption at the Buffalo Animal Shelter, will be served a special Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday, November 24th, between the hours of Noon and 2:00 PM. The Buffalo Animal Shelter is located at 380 N. Oak Street in Buffalo. Mayor Brown stated, “I’m grateful to our generous community for providing those dogs and cats, up for adoption at the Buffalo Animal Shelter, with a healthy and pet-friendly Thanksgiving meal. We hope this event reminds people about the good work of the Buffalo Animal Shelter, and the many loveable dogs and cats that are ready and available to go home with a newly adopted family.” The event is part of “Thanksgiving at the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter” and will feature a three-course, gourmet, pet-friendly meal, prepared by Chef Malik Von Saint of the Iron Tail Tavern. On the day of the event, the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter will be open from 9 AM until 3 PM to accept donation items from its Wish List.
