Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown today thanked the Buffalo Bisons for providing 1,000 free tickets to Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority (BMHA) residents to attend home games at Sahlen Field. The tickets, which were made available to BMHA residents starting in early September, are being provided as part of the Bisons’ Community Benefits Agreement, which is part of the team’s lease for the City-owned ballpark.

“Since the Bisons were able to return to Sahlen Field to complete this season’s home games, the team has offered free and discounted tickets to health care workers, first responders and now BMHA residents,” Mayor Brown said. “For many BMHA residents, this is their first opportunity to attend a Bisons game and it’s a great example of how we envisioned the Community Benefits Agreement would work.”

BMHA residents have enjoyed Bisons home games against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Rail Riders, Rochester Red Wings and will be attending the team’s final home stand of the regular season against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, which run through Sunday, September 26.

Tickets have been made available through management offices at the various BMHA developments, as well as for pick-up at the Bisons ticket office.
