Medical Van

About the Service

  • The City of Buffalo's Division for Senior Services Medical Van serves individuals age sixty 62 years and older
  • The Medical Van operates from 8:30 a.m. for appointment pick up (going to) until 12:30 p.m.
  • You must be ready to return, (return trip) no later than 2:30 p.m.
  • The Van can only pick you up (for return home) from where you were initially dropped off
  • Contributions: $3 one way, $4 round trip
  • Appointments are scheduled at least three weeks in advance (first come first served) until schedule is full.
  • The Medical Transportations Vans for the Division for Senior Services are not wheelchair accessible. Individuals utilizing this service must be able to enter the vehicle without assistance.

Transportation Cannot Be Guaranteed

Transportation Cannot Be Guaranteed and Will Have to Be Cancelled When the Van Breaks Down or Drivers Are Ill, as Much Notice as Possible Will Be Given.

Boundaries

The City of Buffalo Medical Van is restricted to observing the following boundaries:

  • No service past the 5200 block of Sheridan Drive
  • No service past 6500 Main Street
  • No service past the 1200 block of Sweet Home Road
  • No service past French Road
  • No service past 3900 Delaware Avenue
  • No service past 750 Orchard Park Road
