What is a Smart Street Design Plan?
The City of Buffalo is working with the consulting firm, Stantec, in creating a Smart Streets Design Plan which includes a curb management plan and a preliminary design for a flexible smart street. The Smart Streets Design Plan will examine ways to technologically enhance the roadways in Downtown Buffalo to better accommodate a wide range of modes of transportation including e-bikes, e-scooters, smart cars, electric charging stations, and increase pedestrian and ADA compliance access.
