New Ways of Doing BusinessHyperlinkBuffalo-logo

During the COVID-19 lockdown, many brick-and-mortar businesses pivoted to online sales, while others were forced to shut down. Employees were laid off; storefronts were shuttered and communities around the country felt the impact.

Even today, with shoppers returning back to brick-and-mortar retail stores, online sales have switched from an option to a necessity for many small businesses. Despite this shift, there are still minority small businesses on the wrong side of the digital divide. Hyperlink Buffalo Powered by AT&T can help!

WHAT IT IS

HyperLink Buffalo Powered by AT&T is a FREE service for minority small businesses to strengthen their online presence. This initiative is in partnership with The City of Buffalo, The Exchange at Beverly Gray and local ad agency partners.

HOW IT WORKS

HyperLink Buffalo Powered by AT&T will identify, match and support small businesses as they strengthen their presence online.

STEP 1 – IDENTIFY PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES

HyperLink Buffalo Powered by AT&T identifies minority small businesses that are on the wrong side of the digital divide. The Hyperlink Buffalo business survey will assess the needs of the participating minority small business as it relates to strengthening their online presence.

STEP 2 – MATCH PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES WITH AD AGENCY PARTNERS

HyperLink Buffalo Powered by AT&T will match participating minority businesses in need with one of our ad agency partners.

Ad agency partners are asked to provide pro-bono services to strengthen the online presence of the participating minority business.

Pro Bono Services may include:

  • Website Design
  • e-Commerce Development
  • Search Engine Optimization

STEP 3 – PROVIDE ONGOING BUSINESS SUPPORT

The Exchange at Beverly Gray will provide business incubator space for ongoing business workshops in digital marketing, legal, finance, and accounting for participating minority businesses.

The HyperLink Buffalo participating business cohort will complete workshops and networking events hosted by our ad agency partners as they mature through the program.
