Mohawk Ramp Public Engagement

In December of 2020, the City of Buffalo released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of the 1.1 -acre Mohawk Parking Ramp, located at 477 Washington St., in the heart of downtown Buffalo.

The site of Mohawk Ramp presents a unique opportunity to create a substantial mixed-use development near some of Buffalo's largest office buildings, prized entertainment and restaurant venues, and transit including NFTA metro rail and numerous NFTA bus lines.

The Mohawk Ramp Selection Committee received six incredible responses from local and national developers for the game-changing redevelopment project and began its review and evaluation process in the summer of 2021.

The Mohawk Ramp Selection Committee has identified three proposals from BFC Partners/CB Emmanuel Realty, Douglas Development, and SAA-EVI/ McGuire Development that best met the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP. Please reference the RFP HERE.

As the selection process moves toward its conclusion, the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning is asking for community input on the three proposals.

Community members can learn more about the proposals from the three development finalists, including overviews and key element highlights, and take the survey at the links below:

The survey will be live for comment submissions through Friday, October 8, 2021, at 5 p.m. Comments are limited to 1000 characters. All comments will be shared with the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning Development Team and members of the Mohawk Ramp Selection Committee.
