The City of Buffalo’s federal stimulus funding under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) will be used to address several target areas under the framework of, “People and Places” and “Progress and Prosperity” to support economic recovery of the City's communities and industries. By taking a person-centered approach we intend to give people access to resources, rebuild the infrastructure systems that impact their everyday lives, and foster real wealth generation that targets the needs of residents.
The ARP is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help transform Buffalo and ensure that its residents can enhance the quality of their life now and into the future. The City is actively working to implement the programs described in the ARP Spending Plan. To be announced soon: outside organizations will have the opportunity to apply for project funds from programs identified in the ARP Spending Plan, to support the City's recovery.
