Please take a moment to complete this online survey to help the City understand what projects and initiatives you would like to see funded. The survey will be live until July 30th and we ask that each resident only complete the survey once.
Investing in People means investing in residents so that they have the resources to make the choices that are right for their families’ future and become economically self-sufficient. It can include programs that provide residents with direct assistance alleviate debt, and better plan for their future financial success. The ARP allows Buffalo to invest directly into households. What are some of the specific initiatives you think the City should include in its plan?
Public Spaces are critical to the vibrancy of the City. While other spaces provide the connective tissue that is vital to the efficient and effective delivery of critical services. Investing in places not only enhance residents’ quality of life but also helps mitigate against the worst aspects of climate change. Parks, community centers, housing investments, cultural institutions, and any number of other places are critical to ensuring our residents have access to the civic and service infrastructure they need to succeed. What are the places you think the City should use this funding to invest in?
Continuing to advance the progress Buffalo has made in areas of improving our water and sewer infrastructure, replacing old lead lines, advancing police reform, and being a climate refuge city will be an important component of this stimulus plan. However, these are only some of the initiatives Buffalo must undertake to become a city focused on the future. What are the programs and projects that the City should consider investing in to advance the progress that has been made?
The goal of this plan is to advance the City’s prosperity across every neighborhood. Prosperity comes through fostering an environment where growth can be sustained. Whether that growth comes from assisting small businesses, providing workforce training opportunities for underemployed individuals, or helping young residents gain their first real work experience, the key to the success of building a prosperous City is that everyone feels they have a stake in that prosperity. What are the kinds of activities you think the City can fund to help make Buffalo more prosperous?
