Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown today proclaimed ‘Freelance Business Week’ in the City of Buffalo this morning. He was joined by Marie Domon-Pazych, the founder of the local and regional event.
“Freelance business owners have played an important role in sustaining the local economy during the pandemic. They have helped businesses across many sectors make the transition to having their employees work from home, procure PPE, issue public statements related to public health, and help businesses access much-needed resources,” Mayor Brown said. “This week’s events will help those entrepreneurs share best practices, network with each other, and develop innovative ideas as the sectors adapt to the new post- pandemic normal.”
“This year’s theme is incredibly important. All Freelance Business Week organizers agreed that we want to focus on the future rather than the past and current state of the world. It’s more important now than ever to see the future of freelance. We must be more intentional, have a positive impact, and never forget our purpose,” Domon-Pazych said.
This year’s hybrid virtual and in-person offerings will permit freelancers, policymakers, and others to participate in the manner that is safest for them.
In-person viewing locations in Buffalo, Western New York, and Northeast Pennsylvania include:
