6-WH-MSY

Buffalo, NY - Mayor Byron W. Brown announced the launch of the application period today for his Summer Youth Internship and Employment program for 2023. The program provides six weeks of employment and work-readiness training to youth in the city of Buffalo during the summer months, from July 10th through August 18th. Applying is easy. Interested youth can apply online at www.buffalony.gov/MSYAPP. Completed applications are due by Friday, March 31st.

“My Administration remains committed to preparing city youth, of every background, to enter the workforce,” said Mayor Brown. “I am proud that we were able to continue this pioneering program over the last few years, a remarkable achievement given the many challenges our community faced, particularly in 2022. I want to recognize our many great partners for their commitment to providing opportunities for our city’s future leaders under such challenging and changing circumstances. Together, we provided valuable work experience to over 1,600 city youth last year, 28,600 since 2006. We are pleased to keep this strong tradition going, by implementing another year of summer employment which will provide life-changing pathways to career success.”
