PRIDGEN

Darius G. Pridgen - Ellicott District

Council President

Council President Darius Pridgen represents the Ellicott District. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, graduate of Buffalo State College, and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Medaille. Mr. Pridgen is also a bishop and senior pastor at True Bethel Baptist Church.

RIVERA

David A. Rivera - Niagara District

Majority Leader

Council Majority Leader David A. Rivera represents the Niagara District. He worked as a Buffalo Police Officer from 1982 to 2008, with duties including patrol officer, a confidential aide to Mayor James Griffin, a detective sergeant in the Sex Offense/Domestic Violence Unit, and a detective sergeant in the General Investigative Unit.

SCANLON

Christopher Scanlon - South District

President Pro Tempore

Council President Pro Tempore Christopher P. Scanlon represents the South District. He is a graduate of Bishop Timon St. Jude High School and attended Erie Community College. Beyond his work on The Council, Mr. Scanlon has experience in managerial roles at UPS and the Western New York Pub Group Inc.

FEROLETO

Joel P. Feroleto - Delaware District

Council Member Joel P. Feroleto represents the Delaware District. He received his Juris Doctor from University at Buffalo Law School and is also an alumnus of Canisius College. Mr. Feroleto has served as legislative aide to two former council members and deputy chief of staff to a NYS Senator. He is a member of the NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers.

BOLLMAN

Bryan Bollman - Lovejoy District

Council Member Bollman has spent the past 11 years as a public servant of Eastside neighborhoods in City Hall. He is a graduate from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelors in Political Science. His experience includes a tenure as block club president, community organizing, drafting legislation to benefit the City, and assisting with capital and operating City Budget planning.

NOWAKOWSKI

Mitch Nowakowski - Fillmore District

Council Member Nowakowski is a community leader with years of experience in City Hall. This includes holding positions in the Niagara District office, Council Central Staff, and work for a NYS Assembly member office. He holds an A.A.S from Erie Community College and a B.A. from Buffalo State College.

GOLOMBEK JR

Joseph Golombek, Jr. - North District

Council Member Joseph Golombek, Jr. represents the North District. He was born in Riverside and graduated from Riverside High School. Mr. Golombek holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from SUNY Buffalo State and a Master’s Degree in European History from Marquette University. In his spare time, he works as a history professor at Buffalo State College.

Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr. - Masten District

Council Member Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr. represents the Masten District. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Houghton College and a master’s degree in public administration from Buffalo State College. Mr. Wingo, Sr. also serves as the Senior Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church, as well as Assistant Professor of Business at Houghton College and SUNY Erie. Some of his past experiences include serving as the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program Coordinator at Buffalo Promise Neighborhood and director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo.

WYATT

Rasheed Wyatt - University District

Council Member Rasheed N.C. Wyatt represents the University District. He earned an A.A.S. in accounting from the Kensington Business Institute in 1986 and a B.S. in business resource development from Medaille College. Mr. Wyatt is a former chief of staff for The Council. He also has extensive professional experience in finance and banking.
